Your Personal Shortcut

At the end of every Shortcut chapter, write key details about yourself in the chapter’s corresponding box. After you’ve filled in all of the boxes, you will see all your shortcuts come together—to create your very own, unique, and wonderful shortcut to God. There are no wrong answers. Your Personal Shortcut likely won’t look like anyone else’s, and it may not look like it has in the past. That’s a good thing. Be honest and write what naturally comes to mind.

Your Personal Trellis

With all you discovered in chapters 13 and 14, what would it look like to create your personal structure (trellis) with your practical supports (rhythms)? Your structure might be for a year, a quarter, or a week. With seven squares vertically, and four horizontally, it looks a lot like a month’s calendar. Think of the rhythms you want to start, and sprinkle and schedule them throughout your trellis—your month. I’ve included an example for you as well. Think about how you will untangle, engage, and practice closeness this month.
